Our FIV/FeLV and Special Needs Cats

These guys have a special place in our hearts.  They had it rough living on the streets, fighting to defend themselves, their territories, and their food, or competing for a mate.  Sometimes, as a result of the fighting, these poor kitties end up with FIV and even worse, FeLV.  It's great to see these guys (and girls) getting along now.  Of course, at some point, they were fighting, contracting FIV, due, in part, to the fact they were not neutered, which makes them more aggressive. After being neutered, it has been our experience that MOST, not all, of them, are sweethearts to everyone, cats, dogs, and humans alike. FIV cats need to be placed in the most stress-free households possible to minimize further negative effects on their immune systems. FIV+ cats can be placed in homes that have uninfected cats as long as they do not fight with each other.

THESE CATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.  PLEASE VISIT OUR "CATS AND KITTENS FOR ADOPTION" PAGE TO SEE MORE CATS AND KITTENS LOOKING FOR FOREVER HOMES.
